The 3 dBi fiberglass antenna from Parley Labs is outdoor fiberglass encased omni-directional 900-930 MHz antenna with 3 dBi gain. Also included is an outdoor bracket designed for mounting to a pole or PVC pipe. This antenna measures 12.25 inches tall and 0.9 inches in diameter and is compatible with Meshtastic devices and other technology in this frequency band. 

We do recommend RokTape to seal all outdoor connection points.

I see similar-looking antennas online that say for 600 MHz to 2700 MHz, is a wider frequency spectrum better? 
Antennas with a focused spectrum will have better performance on that band segment vs antennas with a very wide spectrum. We would not recommend using antennas that are also WiFi 2.4 GHz compatible with your equipment. This antenna has a frequency range of just 868-960 MHz to give you improved performance.
